Jorge O. Lopez, EA, MST is a public accountant and an IRS Enrolled Agent. Enrolled Agent status is the highest credential the IRS awards. Individuals who obtain this elite status have unlimited practice rights. This means that like attorney’s and certified public accountants, they are unrestricted as to which taxpayers the can represent, what types of tax matters they can handle, and in what IRS offices they can represent clients.

Jorge began his accounting career in 2000 in different local accounting firms. His experience in public accounting includes working for both large and mid-sized firms where he specialized in corporate accounting, taxation, and compliance for a wide array of clients in various industries.

In 2004, Jorge joined the accounting firm of Gidney & Company PA where he headed the International tax department and also giving frequently presentations on US income and taxation of foreign investors doing business in the US and on FIRPTA issues.

Jorge graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and also earned the degree of Master of Science in Taxation from Florida International University.

Jorge is a member of National Association of Enrolled Agents (NAEA), The Florida Society of Accountants (FSA) and is fluent in Spanish.
